Having horses, the Easter Bunny and all its relatives can go elsewhere!! 🙂

Hares on the other hand are magical creatures! ... we have a group of 4 live in our back field ... March is the traditional time for their 'boxing' displays, but it's been so rainy here I think they're waiting for brighter weather.

Ps .. great pic ... Morgan's pretty too!

The Easter "bunny" original was a hare - laid it's eggs in nests (plovers as we've known for a long time now) grin2

Indeed, hares have been significant to cultures back into the mists of time .... one of my favourites is the three hares symbol ... goes back over 1000 years (called 'Tinners Hares' (or sometimes rabbits) down in the SW. .... saw one carved in and old stone down in Devon in the'60s and was fascinated by it .. a version of the triskele (like the IOM flag amongst others)... reflects an obsession witb things in 'Threes' that runs through Pagan and Christian lore ... really interesting subject (well, to me anyway 😄)

The Hares on Orford Ness are big guys. Great animals to see in action. Happy Easter all

Got a bit of a soft spot for rabbits, and have shared the house with a number of the giant variety over the last 20 years....
