REALLY stupid way to configure an engine... but heck! it is a MORGAN

Mine no longer does that, it just pumps the oil back into the tank.

Same as mine. I have Emil's Custom Morgan kit installed.

Trouble with this is that it will be illegal in most countries as its venting oil straight to the road surface.

Raphy - you can get away with it in France at the moment but the Control Technique (MOT) for motorbikes/m3w's becomes compulsory next year....
Not a great modification for other road users such as motorcyclists?

Pipe should vent into a catch tank....its not difficult to acheive.

Hi Steve
Great you keep track of the Control-Technique in France.
But . . .
As far as I am informed it is only for Light motorbikes.

see
https://www.dekra-norisko.fr/le-con...ut-savoir-sur-la-reglementation-id-11017

Quote :
The categories of motorcycles concerned by technical inspection are as follows:
L4e: Category L motorcycle with sidecar
L3e-A1: Motorcycle less than 125 cm3
L3e-A2: Motorcycle intended in particular for young licenses below 35kW and weight/power ratio less than 0.2kW/kg
L3e-A3: Other motorcycles

And we - M3W - are registered in category : L5e

Like to hear when my info is wrong.

Hi Herman - the CT will now cover all class L vehicles:

"Roadworthiness tests shall cover 2- or 3-wheel motor vehicles and motor quadricycles (L-category vehicles): motorcycles, scooters, quads..."

https://www.service-public.fr/particuliers/vosdroits/F37538?lang=en

I think the Dekra website you link to is only concerning motorcycles....?

As it involves French bureaucracy, I'm sure there will be some confusion regarding its implementation or not...
