I am looking for alloy wheels in 16 or 17" diameter for my '70 Plus 8. This car is highly modified and sticky 205-60-15 tires are no longer available in Canada to my knowledge.
I am running old Yokohama Advan a048's which are now hardened to the point of being a handful when not hot.
Car is powered by a very healthy 650hp all aluminum small block Chev engine with highly modified "automatic" transmission. Engine and trans weigh same as or slightly less than stock Rover with Moss box. Stronger rear axle, helical diff and 5 link rear suspension finish the package on this former endurance racer.
Definitely fun on an autocross course and scared more than one course marshall with ridiculous acceleration handling and braking.

Welcome to the forum, Leadfootin. I think we'd all love to see photos of your Plus 8 and the engine. I can't really help with the choice of rims. But companies like in the link below can build you custom rims for central locking or bolt on. This company Image Wheels has also built rims for the Morgan Motor Company as original equipment, e.g. for the BMW Plus 8 Speedster.

Welcome to TM Leadfootin. 650bhp in a classic Mog is insane but probably great fun whilst your still pumping blood innocent

Wonder what else you have done to stop the tinfoil chassis tying itself in a knot thinking

I have a set of IMAGE 3 piece billet wheels on my plus8 they are excellent, a good thing is that you can purchase different width bands or just replace the rim if you damage them, they are a good company to do business with (very Helpful).

I’ve just taken delivery of a set of image 16” wheels for my 1975 +8. Mines only got a 380bhp, which feels mighty quick, so yours must be amazing. Worth checking what tyres (width & profile) you want to fit as I find there is limited availability in 16” size, so you may want to look at 17 or bigger
I was hoping to add a photo of my new wheel but couldn’t make do it for some reason. PM me if you want to see them.[img]http://[/img]

Regarding the photos have a look at this recent post below. It is really not a difficult task to post one or some and I would like to see your wheels on your Plus 8 very much.

This the car with a bit of a mixture of wheels. The front are old 15" Wolfrace which have been on the car for 30 years, the rears are a pair of 16" Image wheels I got off another Morgan man. The new wheels are to go on the front so I have a set of matching modern 16" wheels:

I am hopefully getting the hang of how to get images on messages now

I've sent a couple of PMs out with my email.

There was a typo in my link before. The correct site is:

www.tm-img.com

Simply register there and upload your photos. You will then see a whole list of insertion options under your photo (as in my photo below) as soon as your photo is uploaded.
If you copy the "BBCode" option under "Full image" and simply paste this link into your new talkmorgan post, then, voila, the photo will appear after you click on "post reply".

Well it would if the link was to a filename with a .jpg or .png &c.file extension.
I followed both your links only to get a 404 error - not found.
I have replied to your PM.
