UPDATE: my car is still for sale, however in the past few months I have had Tim Ayres comprehensively upgrade the car, spending around £7000 all with receipts. Tim has done the following:

- fully upgraded Rutherford front suspension with new hard chrome king pins, main and rebound springs, blades and shocks etc as advertised on his website.
- rebuilt steering rack.
- rebuilt front an drear brakes: new calipers pads and discs on the front, new cylinders and shoes on the rear.
- new cambelt, tensioner and aux belt
- new upgraded performance alloy radiator and expansion tank.
- new stainless grill.
- new twin Librands spotlights wired in.
- 4 new Yokohama tyres.
- fully serviced with all oils, and filters changed inc engine (now has a K&N filter fitted), gearbox and rear axle.

Overview: this is a Morgan 4/ 4 in a desirable colour scheme with many factory extras. Royal Ivory with Yarwood Old Red leather interior. Reliable Ford 1800 Zetec engine and 5 speed gearbox gives excellent performance with 35mpg economy. As a later car it benefits from galvanised chassis, stainless steel bulkhead and aluminium bodywork with superformed wings, giving much better corrosion protection than the older models.

Extras: desirable lowline body with wider chrome wire wheels. Factory extras including: sports seats, walnut dash and steering wheel, Sony CD/ radio with remote control, cross-member covers, Librands sports gearshift, luggage rack, round mirrors and wing top lights. Fitted tool kit. Factory rustproofed from new. The car additionally has the great benefit of a Simmonds easy-up hood in mohair with matching leather hood bag and mohair tonneau cover.

Service history: 2 owners before me, both long term, who looked after it. This car has never failed an MoT or had even a single advisory in 22 years. It is a lovely car but I am probably more at home with pre-war stuff. For sale at £28000 - with the purchase price last year, I have around £34K invested in this car, so it is a bargain I think.

Please contact me for pictures if you are genuinely interested in buying an excellent example of the modern 4/4.
