Has anyone with a Bentley Velvet Red colour managed to get paint touch up as the code stamped on the car doesn’t match anything and the code Williams gives the factory for the paint does not match anything either and unable to find any Bentley colour in Velvet Red, the nearest a neighbour found who works for a automotive paint company was a Lotus Velvet Red.

Ian, have you tried taking the car to your local automotive (trade) paint supplier and having it scanned ?

indeed, cooperman is right, you have to go to a painter who will scan the paint, it's a very reliable process...

Although paint scanning is well renowned for producing paint to spray on to match existing colour, I would be very surprised if anyone would produce a very small quantity typical of touch-up paint.
Maybe I stand to be corrected?

Maybe I stand to be corrected? My local paint supplier will scan and supply as little a 0.1 litre, I guess others would be the same.

They can do it by a single aerosol for solid colours. I would guess also for mettalics. I ran ink factories and our local centres could colour match and make 2.5kg of ink.
But a 50g touch up stick maybe not. I usually use the aerosol to spray into the cap & then a brush.

I had similar problems finding codes for my 2 tone green car. Morgan paint codes as listed on the car do not seem to mean much.
Eventually I contacted this man at Morgan who sent me suitable translations. Mark.Ledington@morgan-motor.co.uk.
I got the paint in small quantities from these people who were very helpful. helpteam@paintnuts.co.uk

Have you contacted Bentley or one of their dealers to get a paint code?
