Just got back from 2500 miles around Spain with the Aero being the lead car for our 18 car trip.

It performed admirably, and the Aero and the '64 Corvette (with '97 running gear!) were definitely the two stars of the show.

Pictures here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1583134065188737/permalink/2649438175224982/

What upsets me though is that this trip has shown what a different car this is on smooth tarmac.
On those lovely smooth Spanish roads the Aero is an absolute beast of a car.
The engine, gearbox, suspension, brakes... they all just work so well together.
And what a wonderful chassis it has! Sublime.

Sorry, it's an Aero 8 group anyway - just easier than trying to share photos on here!

Great that you were able to enjoy your A8 on a Spanish adventure, Unfortunately I do not have access to anything on Facebook thus missed out on further insight to your trip.

My good lady and I drove our old +8 down to AndalucĂa quite a few years back and for sure Spanish roads seem not to suffer pot holes as do our roads, and which the old +8`s suspension was far less exercised than normal... (-: Using Los Romanes as a base, we did discover quite a few of Southern Spain`s back roads, some of which were rather rough...and the old Mog handled them well enough too...(-:

I posted some of my Spanish trip pics in TM Image Gallery a while back...

Done around 100k miles in my +8 around Europe in the last 40 years, you are quite right Morgans are a different car to drive on smooth roads.
Off to near Milton K to meet friends for lunch a 110 mile round trip, I guess there will be lots of swerving to miss the potholes.
