The paint suppliers I use will mix the paint to the formula produced by the scanner and their system does not search the database for the nearest colour unless of course it is an exact match.
You understood me!!!!
YES. The best source for
paint touch up after a car has been sprayed and exposed the elements is
a scanner., not the original code.
The best, most common sense way, of
respraying an entire car is to obtain a catalogue of paint samples (on sample sections) and spend some time with them. Most small automobile paint shops will assist.
They do not use every catalogue every day, though these catalogs are costly. Use the samples in both shadow and light. For the expensive pearl effect (we adore them when used subtly), you must walk around the sample
in different lighting.
Good luck Rog!
