Apparently if Colin Chapman could fit in a race car he told the team to take 1 1/2 inches off the width. I know I wouldn't fit sadly.

Seems to me that only the Italians attempt to make an engine beautiful as well as functional. Nowadays when really good engines from the likes of say Merc are covered in ugly plastic, Ferrari still try to make a spectacle of theirs. With my car there even is a window in the rear bonnet so that you can see the engine though I think that went with the 488 onwards.
