Has anyone managed to remove and refit a cx front indicator ?

I’m looking to remove mine to put PPF on and the bolts which to attach it to the body are not captive hence spin when removing the nut. I can find no way into the unit to secure the bolt. Any help would be appreciated.

I managed to remove it in the end by usung
mole grips on the thread and then putting fine nose pliers under the washer. I only removed one as I made a template for the other side for the PPF to save removing the indicator
