Personally I think I will wait for the much rumoured BEV steam hybrid, laughingly called the "eletric kettle". The highly ecologicical electric steam generator drives a V6 with two banks of triple expansion cylinders.

Acceleration is rumoured to be an eye watering 6 minutes for the standing kilometer with a terminal speed of 60 kph.

Recharging and rewatering can be performed after an hour of running in only 60 minutes but there is always enough hot water on stanby for a good cup of tea.

Maybe I'm miffed I wasn't offered the opportunity. But more seriously, if they can sell all the midsummer's off book, but can't sell enough plus 4 and 6's what does that say about the future business model of the company?

I am basing this with my knowledge of other brands but can only assume the same would apply to MMC. A manufacture will have reached out to it's dealer network and/or directly to customers in their database that have purchased or shown interest in past limited editions to engage them with something new coming up. it's likely most of the confirmed buyers have already had viewings of the car, discussed spec etc. Being able to say all units are sold at the time of the embargo release is a great marketing message for the brand.

New Toy

I am unsure about the chopped short rear mudguards and zero weather equipment - the puddles of water inside the cockpit might stain my jodhpurs.

I think I will wait for the MMC invitation to the upgraded version rumoured to have the windscreen folding back overhead and integral with the Mohair Hood.
