Peel the silicone off and there is a small Phillips head screw holding the top part to the base. Comes off in two parts

Well, replaced mine using the guide today and mine runs for a few minutes, then blows the fuse for the fuel pump...

Was it blowing fuses before you replaced the pump? If not I would suggest you check all the fuel pump supply wires that you have disturbed with the pump replacement. If it was then it could be a chaffed loom anywhere, an increasingly common problem. Is the pump a genuine Walbro fuel pump? There are a lot of fake ones about. There are ways to identify what you have if you look up "Walbro fuel pump fake vs real". This pump replacement is a common upgrade that usually causes no problems.

I had the fuse holder and the plastic of the fuse melted after several years of operation with a Walbro GSS342 authentic 255 liters hour pump. I repaired it by cutting the two wires and put a single large size fuse holder, subsequently I I replaced the pump with an authentic Walbro GSS278 which provides 168 liters per hour and the electricity consumption drops by around 5 amps, the 132 tranny engine on the circuit must be more than 25 liters per km and everything works perfectly well, the mini fuse holder can be a fragile element for high amperage.

No, I was just hitting adaptive limits and taking awhile to start. Fuse was fine. As far as wires disturbed by replacing the pump, there is the harness inside the tank and the plug to the tank. You really don't disturb much by getting to the fuel pump. Pump was purchased through one of the companies someone listed in the thread. I am going to pull the pump in a bit, but the fuse is getting hot so my guess is bad pump.
Spent a couple hours fiddling with it. Ended up throwing the original land rover pump in. Still have the cel and starting takes noticeably longer, but I do not blow fuses. Defective pump like I thought. Gonna have to wait for a replacement.

Just a PSA, someone else suggest this company and i am here to say do not use them. https://www.highflowfuel.com/ They are Quantum fuel systems on ebay. After emailing them directly and requesting a new pump and having to fill out a form describing the issue I was directed to a new web page to fill out. They would then take 2 days to determine if I have a warranty claim. On that same page they expect me to give them my credit card info and chose what shipping I want to pay for. IE, they sent bad product and expect me to pay to get a replacement. I am going to go through ebay and just order from elsewhere.

Glencoe Ltd. are a reputable supplier. The Walbro GSS342 does not usually cause any problems. I have been running the first one installed for several years and almost 40,000 miles without any issue.
