My M3W has the Morgan Stage 2 upgrade and I have what I think are the original camshafts.

Could someone identify the cams as detailed below

1 330- 0067 F 15813

2 330- 0068 R 15713

3 330- 0042 R 09014

4 330- 0043 L 210145

5 37-0210 16813

6 330-0044 09014

Cam 5 and 6 have no L or R markings and are twin lobe

Thanks

Gordon

5 and 6 with with the twin lobes are the Inlet cam, the single lobes are the exhaust cams. If your engine has a Stage 2 kit installed it should have 569 cams fitted that will have 569F, 569INT and569R printed on the end of the sprocket shaft. Standard cams it will have 545/548 on the end. S&S cams should have F (front), INT and R (rear) marking, not L & R. No idea what the cams you have are at all but not S&S by the look of it.

Thanks planenut.

I don't understand the cam numbering system all I do know is that the Stage 2 upgrade was done by Oakmere, and the cams removed give back to the previous owner so I assume they are S&S. Is there anyway of finding out about the cams originally fitted and there origin?

Hind - I think your find your looking at the wrong end of the camshafts for their identification - the i.d planenut refers to are at the drive end.
