Does anybody know where i can get a length of rubber to replace the running board rubbers , mine have gone soft and keep coming out of the aluminium strip, they have done well to last 40 years.

Yes, and the same prices - sadly (in my opinion at least) Vintage and Classic bought out a number of small companies servicing the same market, including SVC and Flexolite. So the products are pretty standard across the board. Their stuff is good though - I particularly like the new Toby range of lights which is expensive, but at least you can now buy a set of lights rather than waiting for old ones to come up on ebay.

when you cut the rubber cut longer than you need as they shrink about 1" longer is a good idea... you have been warned.

Do consider changing the running board bolts holding the treads down to stainless.
