D'oh . . . now I'm confused! I think the answer is to do what you prefer!

I've found a couple of sales brochures online from 1974 and 1981, both showing rear views of the 4/4 4-seater. Morgan 4/4 & Plus 8 (1974)Morgan Range 1981![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2024/05/27/1981-44.md.png) Not the clearest picture so make your own mind up (I know what I think). Edited to add: The example pictured in Michael Palmer's 2011 book is clearer. ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2024/05/27/20240527_104603.th.jpg)

Always amuses me as to why the old sales brochures show the firing order, and sometimes even the ignition timing setting.

As I have said for a June 1979 4/4 4 seater which was one owner from new ie my dad had a body coloured rear panel. I expect the factory went between black and body colour but if you are after what was originally done in June 1979 it was body coloured.

Many thanks for the interest and advice. I have gone for satin black, to my eyes it defines the aperture better.
