Like Bruce has found it's certainly the best tool I have bought in recent years particularly as I'm less able or inclined to crawl around underneath cars nowadays. An old adjustable height office chair allows many jobs to be completed sitting down, indeed ease of use is the key to getting the most out of your lift. Mine lives on the garage floor with Morton parked over it. The four lift pads are left attached but swung out of the way when lift not required. Being convenient to use it's rare the car is not lifted up (to full 4'6" inch height if hood not up) if not being used for a few days. This gives the opportunity to check the underside and clean wheels etc. in-situ. Handy for simple safety checks and greasing as well.



Pic shows how it can initially be manoeuvred into position by jacking up with dedicated hook on pump trolley and steering like articulated truck. It is very heavy but I regard that as a positive when my body is underneath although there is a mechanical lockout with auto solenoid release. Full set of lift pads can be seen on carpet behind accomodating wide range of vehicles up to 2.7 tonnes.

^ Yours looks almost identical to my BendPak version Richard, had it over 10 years now and worth every penny, as you say very heavy, mines over 300kg (and it's moving home soon - somehow)

My 3 Morgans are side by side in the garage and I just push the EZ Carlift under them so it is out of the way, if you are going to drive over it you can purchase the Drive Over Kit or make your own.

Good luck with the move Jon. My lift was delivered via close coupled truck with tail lift. The lift itself and pump trolley were strapped together on a pallet which was already showing signs of crumbling. For your move a fork lift may be needed.

I took the plunge and bought the EZ Car Lift from Holden. They, and EZ, recommend the Cross Spacer Set - Working Range 66 to 97cm Wide for Morgans from 1951 - 2004
Despite the promotional videos I cannot slip the car lift under the car except from the side. The width using the recommended cross spacer is 1075mm and the distance between the inner walls of the tyres is 1030mm.
I did wonder whether to change the cross spacers for the 56 - 89cm pair which would still be suitable for my chassis (86cm) but the rollers would still be too wide to slip between the tyres. I shall make up a couple of drive over ramps then I won't have to take the lift apart to store. Later Morgans have a wider track, although I don't know when the change was made.

Having said all that I was very impressed with Holden. I ordered the lift on 6th June, it was delivered by DHL Express on Friday 7th June.

I don't know what Holden offer for accessories to the EZ Car Lift but there is the Limited Space Kit available here in the US which might help you. You could easily make your own.

Holden don't seem to offer it but it didn't take long to make a couple of suitable ramps from the bits of wood and ply I had around. I did make sure the bar is supported where the ramp goes as I don't want to put the weight of the car on the castors.
