Glad everything is going well for you and the car . For the carpets I would have suggested press studs as fitted by MMC although easier with a wooden floor.
Yep, my MGB has press studs in the carpets - the reciever part is rivetted to the floor.

I spent some time this afternoon with my son mucking about with the boot lid and got it working a lot better by bending the striker slightly so it is further in towards the front of the car. It is still a bit stiff to shut but the lock button seems to open the boot fine.
Press studs sounds like a good idea, something I might look into. Depending on how the carpet is wearing I might just buy a black one off E-Bay to keep the custom made one like new.
Alistair - Yes I think the stitching around the dash is fantastic, the centre console is very well done with the stitches from the red section lining up with stitches on the black.
Jens, great video. I did find it myself a couple of weeks ago. I remember watching The Classic Car Show hosted by Quentin Willson and Jodie Kidd and enjoying it. First time I had seen either of them but felt they were both OK at presenting.
