Does have anyone have any tips for fitting new piping, only below the doors, without removing the wings.
My tip in return - don’t use ACF50 on the piping.

My tip in return - don’t use ACF50 on the piping. Yes I’m sorry to read you suffered with ACF - I was warned against using it by a very well regarded Cornish Morgan Engineer as he had seen the results of it. I stick with the MMC recommended 3 in 1 oil and it has suited me well for 20 years now. This was the advise in my Morgan handbook by the way. I did post a warning on here 10 years ago but I think someone had a vested interest and shot me down  I have seen too many sunrises for that to bother me mind  The only piping problems with my Morgan is the owners  Good luck with the job.

There's piping and piping. The basic MMC is the black "vinyl", and I suspect this type may be vulnerable to ACF50.
The second type is "wrapped" & "coloured". The wrapping looks like leather and is obviously bigger diameter. This type will be more resistant to ACF50. In fact I've used it a couple of times with no ill effects. Although I suppose heavy rain dilutes the risk.
My Roadster is wrapped red, and looks good. When I ordered my yellow Plus 4, I would have liked yellow wrap, but was advised by my dealer that MMC would use the "closest" to yellow, which might end up being beige.
I asked for wrapped black, but MMC informed me that black wrapped wasn't a colour, and so wasn't available. Anyway, after a bit of verbal sparring, I got my wrapped black. That was eight years ago. But don't tell anybody.

That may well be the case but my three cars have all had standard black piping but never had ACF 50 applied obviously.
Using 3 in 1 has had no such affect as can be seen on Craig's car.
