"e.g. relate to a non-Mog driver attending and running someone over in a car park, or spilling a plate full of curry in their lap, or scratching a car with a jacket zip or camera, or breaking a pub garden bench, or lobbing a beer mug through a car window -- what the heck is this insurance for ???"

These club events are sounding more interesting than I thought ... might have to consider joining!! 🙂

Yes the more I read here the better I understand why Peter J jumped ship before he sunk within their bureacracy, they are sabre rattling in the face of declining membership numbers I suspect. wink

I was advised by two dealers not to join unless I liked eating out a lot and golf, that was good enough for me so have never joined, TM is all I need thumbs

As you say k it could be fun playing for a while laugh2

Play fair guys they get this for £50 from MSUK & are just telling people. You can also get it for private runs etc. Effectively free but hopefully never needed , but when I organised the first ever run for the GEG to a museum we told MSCC.

Experience from my rally recovery days (and a fellow marshal involved in an incident at MIRA many years later) show the MS UK insurance to be worth diddly squat...

Not surprised, hence the weasel words contract conditions quoted by MSCC

Here in DonMog territory, we believe in driving our cars. You would have thoroughly enjoyed our grass Autotest, Although vacuuming the dried grass out of the car afterwards seems to be a never ending chore, And this year, Mrs F won the ladies trophy. I failed to trouble the judges this time but have won in the past.

No Morgans were harmed in this adventure.

Joined up just before I bought my Mog. In the last 5 years I've never been to meeting or event, and most times the magazine get a quick glance and goes straight in the bin. I have used the club discount to get a reduction on a couple or firesticks, a briteangle, at classiccarleds and reduced entry for a couple of car shows.

I enjoy being part of the Morgan community, and if my £50 goes towards someone else getting pleasure and enjoyment out of things organised by the MSCC, then I'm more than happy continuing my membership.
