My club has asked me to investigate a Factory tour in the autumn. I think there’s someone on here who is a guide ( Hamwich???. ). Perhaps he or she ( or even they these days) could give me some advice. Thanks

Hopmog have just had a factory tour that I organised, including a Question & Answer session with one of the design team, I'd be happy to answer any questions you've got (if I can).

Oh brill. The troops want an idea on prices (tight bunch!) duration and start times. It’s a mixed car club but we think we’d amass about 20 or so bodies so would that be one group, split or mixed in with other ‘strangers’

Wirewheel was a tour guide, not sure nowadays though. Graham used to be but left a good while ago.

It was Budster having a wee bit fun I think Graham, I had a good fill I know and we weren't alone

When I decided to arrange a club tour I thought we'd get maybe 20 people, we finished up with 47.
The discounted group price was £21.12 per person, Tours last about 2 hours, we were split into 3 groups. Our tours started at 10 o'clock but that's what I chose, other times are available.
Options we chose were a buffet lunch at £14 per person, more expensive options are available, and a Senior Management Appearance at £300 for the whole group. We also had a Half Day Tea/Coffee Station at £ 3.25 per person, that covered morning arrival pre-tours and lunchtime.
Most of our members travelled up the night before and I organised a group Noggin style meal at the Mulberry Tree Restaurant just over the road from The Abbey Hotel. The Abbey has been greatly improved since MOG17 when I last stayed there and I'd recommend it now.

Thanks for the info chaps. Enough to put to our little group. Looks like a starting point of around £60 per head including a minibus from N Wales.
