Some pics from a great day out near Brandon Suffolk with Richard V6 and our respective SWMBOs.

Even they enjoyed proceedings

Great pics and lovely to see the Burrell there not far from where she was built, they have a nice little museum on the site of the old works in Thetford that we visited the year before last.
We stopped a few nights at The Bell Hotel which was a good stop and nice and central.

Richard, I think the cast of Dad's Army became very familiar with the Bell hotel during their summer shoots - particularly the bar

Richard, they did indeed Heather lived in Thetford at the time (when we met in Norwich at the Samson and Hercules one evening) with her family and you would often see them around the place.

Mannering lived up to his name and was not popular with the locals unlike the rest of the crew.

This did somewhat amuse us all as Heathers Dad was a Major in the Royal Artillery having joined up as a bugler at the age of 15 and a nicer, kinder more grounded individual I have yet to meet.

Speaking of Main-wearing, our late Lhasa Benji admiring his statue not far from the Bell.
