Fitted the SSL kit myself, not difficult to do, (note; Drop links were a pain I contacted Peter @ SSL because the ball joint was spinning, turs out you need a 5mm Allen key inserted in the stud end to stop it spinning which which you cannot see from under the car). Set them up at mid point and been into North Wales today for a drive a definite 10 from me.
I was a bit sceptical about the feedback on the kit but it's true turns a nice driver into a great one smiling the entire drive.
Expensive but worth it.

I'm booked in the begining of Oct for a job to be done their gonna check the ride height at the same time. I shall have a chat there must be other offerings about the SSL seems double the price of similar set ups. Spoken to a Motorsport Boffin there seems to be an incredible mark up on these kits but as you mentioned Mike after owning an Aero for many years quit easy to fit. A bit bemused we shall see. Em

The car rides higher for sure, comparing the standard and SSL spring, the later is more heavy duty so does not settle to the same height as the standard spring.
I contacted other providers and none lists a kit for the Plus Six, the shocks are Spax and they don't list either, one owner I spoke to is having one made in the USA but no idea if he had it fitted.
The clever thing about the SSL kit are the drop links, makes the car feal really planted in fast corners, so much so I did not lift in the places I did before.

There are many manufacturers and race nuts that could sort it regarding extended and compressed lengths and spring rate measurement , trouble is you would need a sample to give them. Glad your happy with the set up Mike and you saved yourself quite a bit fitting it yourself. As mentioned in a previous post ride height is my problem a lot of our driving are on B roads and the Mog just soaks up the bumps, we were out with a mate on sunday he has the SSl front and rear on his roadster and was bouncing all over the place in comparison. Speed bumps are the issue on mine. Em

ah, but you're not only buying the hardware :-)

You also buy the time, experience and expertise to know what will work on your Morgan, and to tune it to your preferences.

I noticed this Plus Six that we were touring with a couple of weeks ago had very low rear suspension travel, when you look closely the tyres are scrubbing on the edge of the wheel arch on full compression...a future MOT fail for it's owner perhaps

Ouch! first thing that came to mind was symmetry of wheels to wings (mine was over 5mm out) but I would like to think that CX wishbone suspension and tighter tolerances on aluminium chassis would rule that out.

Are there any experiences with the SSL update from users of model years 2023 or 2024?
