Trip to Marsden to get my saxophone serviced at Hansons, their workshop and showrooms (complete with coffee bar) are at the side of the canal and you can see the start of the Standedge Tunnel,
its supposed to be the longest, deepest , highest altitude and darkest tunnel in the UK. !!

nice walk along the towpath while i was waiting.

Busy day so missed the Suffolk Krazy Horse visit and pub lunch but a little compensation popping down to Southwold with Mrs FT and the pooch for fish and chips and a walk by the sea this evening. And very pleasant it was.

Nice little 60 mile jaunt behind the aeroscreen on a sunny morning to visit the GVRS car show in Oldmeldrum .... fine event with a good variety of vehicles, with some less common cars amongst them. By chance ran into Ewan from the forum after spotting his blue anniversary model a few cars up in the car-park .... only found out about the show when Mrs Image and I went out to buy a fridge last week and saw the banner for it alongside the road ... happy accident as well worth a visit and likely we'll put the Morgan in next year. There was a modest Morgan presence with a lovely Matchless V-Twin 3-wheeler amongst them.

I have a soft spot for GT6s having owned one way back and there were some nice ones there ... also just a few of a nice selection of bikes.

Although I never owned one enjoyed driving a friends GT6 quite a bit after various fettling sessions. The smooth ease of overtaking in third then flicking the gearknob overdrive switch was very satisfying.
