Hi all
I'm looking to buy my first Morgan .... a pre-loved Plus Four. I'm test driving a manual and an automatic tomorrow at Berrybrook and on Thursday/Friday I'm going on a mini motorcycle tour of southern dealers on my way to Newhaven to catch the ferry for a road trip to Monte Carlo (something to be repeated in the Morgan one day I reckon).
Things may change after tomorrow once I've decided if I want a manual or an auto, but at the moment I plan to visit:
Tim Ayres & New Elms Morgan - 2022 auto in stock
Morgan Hertfordshire - 2020 manual, 2023 auto
Allon White Sports Cars - 2022 manual, 2023 auto
Hotel in Bury St Edmunds
Krazy Horse - 2020 auto, 2022 auto, 2022 manual (tuned)
Melvyn Rutter - 2021 auto, 2022 auto, 2022 manual, 2022 manual (Le Mans special edition), 2023 manual,
Brands Hatch Morgan - no Plus Fours in stock but it's en-route ;-)

Have wonderful shopping days.
I also test drove both gearboxes and opted for the automatic. But I'm sure everyone feels differently.

So I drove two cars at BB this morning … a ‘21 manual in sport green and a ‘20 auto in Porsche heron grey. I expected to much prefer the manual … it is my usual choice in anything other than a modern supercar … but I was surprised at how fun and engaging the auto was to drive with the paddles. In fact, aside from the more comfortable seats and the feel of the gearstick in the ‘21 manual, I preferred everything about the ‘20 auto … apart from the look of the selector (yuk!!!). ![[Linked Image]]( https://www.tm-img.com/images/2024/08/06/IMG_5369.png) ![[Linked Image]]( https://www.tm-img.com/images/2024/08/06/IMG_5373.png) BB also have a ‘21 auto in blue at a very good price compared to the other two, but I didn’t have time to go out in it. It has the more comfortable looking seats, so I wonder how it will compare overall with the two I did drive. I preferred everything about the ‘20 auto … apart from the look of the selector (yuk!!!) Good progress for Day 1. Surely someone out there in BMW-land must have something that looks less like a TV remote control ?

Dave you comment on the auto vs the standard manual was my thoughts as well.

Dave you comment on the auto vs the standard manual was my thoughts as well. Hi John, are you sure ref the Morganpark.de gear lever for the auto, their advert for a replacement option on the Autobox appeared April 1st of this year.. I could not find anything for this on their web site?.
