After posting on
https://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/776258/dash-pcb-ectomy
and recieving some excellent advice and help I decided removal of the PCB and full rewire on my 2014 Duratec plus 4 was the best option.

I purchased most of the components listed by Rog plus the switches brought to my attention by deejay. Thanks guys.

Then set about removing the faulty PCB and cheap looking original switches to fit the new items.

The top right button which was originally the A/C now operates my interior lights.

I opted to keep the original fan switch so made a plate and premounted the relays (including a spare for future use)and diodes as space is a bit tight! Then..........

It was over to my son to wire everything back up. There were a few choice words on the awkwardness of working on a Morgan but he managed !!

The whole job probably took around 20 hours but it would have been significantly more had Rog not shared his knowledge on the fantastic resource that is TM thumbs

The car sailed through it's MOT and has just completed a trouble free 600 mile trip to Beamish museum so all good so far.

A great result Gordon and a sigh of relief no doubt that it's all done and tested thumbs

Krazy Horse have a beautifully kept 1988 Plus 8 in stock which has had similar treatment. The latching switches all light faint blue with headlamps on.

Well done Gordon. Great to see success with this. I have made up my resistor board for the tell tales, but so far no issues with my original set up. 🤞

Nice work Gordon. Very satisfying too I bet. A good job the factory chose to fit that PCB or we could have missed out on this... wink

Those switches work well thumbs

Wow! Every day’s a school day… What type of bulb is Morgan saying is the wrong type? Was there anything in the manual about this or any warning labels on the car?
