Yesterday i went to the Belgian MOT for the first time with my 2020 plus four . All went well untill they saw the 4 stop lights of my car . On the early plus four two stop lights are in the hood . According the regulation maximum stop lights is 3 .They tought this was done by myself . They checked also if the single CE was on the lights . Hopefully it was there . Then i forgot to bring the original COC ( i have a copy in my car ) even it was possible to read the copy they say they cannot read the dimension of the tyres. So i have a new appointment to return back today . And i have a penalty : i must return back next year
instead in two years. Another fun thing they indicate that i must check if i can go in a low emision zone .

I've seen brake light repeaters covering near full car width in the UK. Although the latest CX cars appear to have just one repeater in centre rear of hood, it's obscured by any luggage carried on rack. The earlier cars having two, each side of centre, fared better in this respect by providing improved safety.

Seems like your MOT examiner is blindly following ill thought out rules.

I understood they moved to one just for this reason i.e. some countries only allowed 3 lights

Good job you have the Certificate of Conformance as that does lists the environmental performance and emissions level eg Euro 6. Mind you it is in pretty small print, was Morgan saving on paper? Best wishes for your retest.

My MY23 Plus Four has the Cobra's head high level light. Other new cars I've seen in dealers also have this. A Plus Six I saw has the hood positioning of a single light. No spare wheel so a similar Cobra's head wouldn't fit (?) due to the panel filling that space. Does anyone have a Plus Four with no spare wheel, and if so what high level lights are fitted? It does seem odd that two lights would be fitted instead of one, cheaper, easier to fit.
I have fitted a removable plug-in high level light that fixes to the suitcase due to the original being obscured. A simple swop by unplugging the original and plugging in the temporary one.

I just checked my car on the TFL site and it is clear for the London ULEZ zone. I do wonder if the criteria apply to others in the UK though as each might have different limits. I don't know if there is a standard emissions to use but it wouldn't surprise me if each lication used different ones!

Our cars are Euro 6 ok for europe but you do need a crit Air sticker if driving through Paris and some zones. Off to Brittany in a couple of weeks and was told I don' t need one. Gone are the days when you just get in your car and drive......Em

I understood MMC are looking at a cobra style light even without the spare.

With all these rules, regulations and laws you need to be a Philadelphia Lawyer to understand them all, the motorist does not stand a chance, carefree motoring is long gone and will not return you would think the rule makers want us out of our cars altogether, maybe the do?

What you remove the bulb in the lower right stop light? 🤫
