It's not a bulb, it's a LED strip it could possibly be unplugged. Here in the UK if you did that it would fail the test as all manufacturers fitted safety equipment must be in working order to pass.

Can't you tape one or both light(s) off in the hood?

On our motorhome there are 2 lights on top of the cabine but under the alcove.
One bulb is defective but I can't change it because of the alcove, so I taped both off and that's ok for the Belgian MOT.

I passed again today , showing the CoC , done in 5 min. It was another
controler, the hood was up due to the rain , no problem.
But has a said before i must pass next year instead of two years.
It was stupid to forget to take the CoC . But i drive with a photocopy because it is very
Expensive to ask a duplicata if the original is stolen.

But i think they even dont know the différence between a plus 4 and a plus four. One of the controlers ask me to take a picture of the car thinking she was 70 years old. I am glad i didnt have to pass the MOT with the arp4. The Coc was the one of a plus 4 but the arp4 had Yokohama tyres, 4 disk brakes, one 5 arms rear suspension, and a cosworth engine .And no 3 th stop light at all.

If lights etc. are on a car they must be legal.
If they are not legal you have to remove or to cover or them complete.
That means to paint them or something like that. To remove the bulbs, use some tape or disconect the conectors does not help.

I was recently at the TÜV (MOT) in Germany with my 2021 Plus Four, mine has the 2 additional brake lights, I had neither discussions nor problems.
The inspector was pleased with the vehicle, he doesn't see that very often.
No technical problems, emissions test ok, next check in 2 years.
I think there are differences depending on the country and the inspector.
In Germany you do not have to show or carry the COC either.

Reason No. 1 why I (unfortunately) sold my P4SS to someone who only drives it on the racetrack before the first TÜV inspection was due after three years.

My turn yesterday

I looked for the chassis-number on 'the usual spot', on the floor in front of the seat: nope; under the carpet on the shelve behind the seats.
But then the inspector couldn't get the lambda-values down, after trying a lot we set it in 'Sports' and kept RPM at 3500: green light:

Other than that they were most ammused by the BMW engine and the low milage in sush an oldtimer...till they saw the year 2022

In octobre i failed the lambda test also. I return back with fuel 98 octane and windscreen heater on. And it was succesfull . But now i have to return back next year instead two years.
