Interesting titbit from September's Classic & Sports Car magazine.
An article on Coventry Metalcraft - highend coachwork people - reveals that they are making the run of 50 bodies for the Pininfarina designed Midsummer.
Don't recall this being mentioned in the MSCC magazine at the time of the launch or in the subsequent interview with Massimo?

Interesting … yep all the press and marketing for the car suggests the bodies are crafted in Malvern but expect it might be more efficient to outsource it like everything else…

I heard that the Midsummer wings were made in Italy and were full of filler!

I was chatting a week or so ago with a mutual friend who works at the factory. Apparently, the Midsummer is not a 'numbered' limited edition. so there are a 'few more' than the 50 advertised.
King of Bahrain has one. He was apparently helicoptered to Malvern, and then brought to the factory in a rather modified Land Rover.....

I understand why they have projects like this but I also wish they could find the resources to make a modern four-seater.
