I'm hoping that quite a lot of you know who Basher is: John Bishop. Most commonly seen making bonnets at Pickersleigh Road, he's one of the reasons we love our cars so much. As a reminder here's some video of him made from 1988 to 2009: http://youtu.be/j6Uoc8WD2BoBack in January John had a major 'big C' operation and he's just started a further 6 weeks of treatment. "Send Basher your Best" is a Facebook group that anyone can join and send a little note to him to help keep his spirits up. And it is helping. Done: and the question is "Do you have a Basher bonnet on your car"? Mine is stamped with a 5 digit number and the name "Basher" on the n/s bonnet hinge.  Bud

Done it! Just been out into a freezing cold garage to open up my bonnet.....sadly no signature! But I've met Basher a couple of times on factory visits and he's always been happy to chat to the group.
I spent 11 years helping my wife through cancer treatments, chemo and radiotherapy etc and my heart goes out to Basher and his family.

I too have lived that experience Jay. Sadly a battle lost but that was in the past.

Best wishes too from the PaddyMogs. Not sure whether my car has a "Bashers" bonnet or not, but we wish him all the best in any event.

Don't have a Basher bonnet but have trodden this road with close friends not all of whom won. Shall leave encouragement on the F/B site for the bonnet man.
