I haven't read all the spiel but you may well be right. This delightful heap of rust yours for 50k - I don't think so.. Interestingly some are overseas one I noted was rebuilt in Germany so maybe they are brokering as well ?.

But…they say that it has got “an exceptional level of patina”…does that mean rustier than most? ⚓️

I wonder if they are buying back 2nd hand defenders or kept a stock of new unsold models. Unlimited supply from customers who've rejected theirs under the lemon laws or chop 'em in just before the warranty expires - got mates who've done both

Oh yes it's a very niche Chelsea market I think they are after not country oiks, other than the Hunters and Shooters, my local friends will be staying with the Jap jobbies for their cost and total reliability.
I really like Ewan's jobby the design is nice and chunky.
