Met up with Gary (Hawki) and Richard (RichardV6) on their respective new bikes: (left to right) a BMW 400 and a Royal Enfield Guerrilla. (My Classic 350 on the right). Great location at The Meare Cafe in Thorpeness on the Suffolk coast.

Nice collective lads, have spent many a happy hour in the Dolphin and Parrot and Punchbowl in the eighties whilst staying at the White Lion in Aldeburgh when working there for a couple of months on radio station new build in sight of house in the clouds which was privately owned in those days. Nice area.

Can you really consider the BMW as a "bike" ? Mind you, as I age and get more frail I do wonder about swapping my bike for a scooter like that. Never ridden one. Wonder how much fun they are. Never was a sports bike man but have had and still do a series of big tourers and adventure bikes and still enjoy the huge acceleration and speed you get with them. Is it the same with twist and go?

I have done big bikes and had a ride on my friends v7 a couple of weeks ago. I loved the sound and the power but felt it could be too tempting given the traffic enforcement and risks of an accident.

The C400 is one of the best bikes I have ridden and immense fun. Enough power for legal speeds and it handles pretty well too. They are also very practical with loads of storage, the phone linking to the screen for sat nav and 80mpg. Itis fast enough to ride at real speeds and you can ride it to the max which is difficult on more powerful bike.

Rich,
It’s really comfortable. Lots of weather protection, a big seat and even has the options of heated grips and a heated seat.

That is a very good capable machine Hawki, I love the heated grips and seat option a lot more sophisticated than my Plus 8 laugh2
