I received the below email recently from my local Morgan dealer:

Morgan Heritage Parts is wholly committed to the promotion of customers purchasing heritage parts through official Morgan dealerships and directly from the factory – directly addressing a gap in the parts market that is being exploited by businesses that are not officially endorsed by Morgan. Is this the dealer in Santa Monica?

Hi You have to do a "leak down test" with the Xwedge to find compression. A normal compression test does not work here as explained by Calum. When interested I can send you the article about it which I made. PM me. For Xwedge parts Zodiac.nl is a good source and Phil has a lot of stuff too.

Hi Steve, Correct. It reflects an proposal I jointly made with the company...we were thinking along the same lines for some time. Gomog might help people keep trads on the road, but parts, and the enormous range in their prices, have become an issue. The MMC is/was the best place to start for many reasons. They asked me to announce it to the forums and followed up with their own note to the dealership network a few days later. The Santa Monica dealer, aka Dennis Glavis aka Morgans West, forwarded it on to his mailing list.  The MMC will need our help. If you wish more detail, may I suggest you consult the thread under Morgan Heritage Parts rather than having multiple threads? Just a suggestion. gmg

Finally home from the Locums job (and retired again). So I turned the engine over the pump out the bottom sump. Insteadit puked copious amounts of oil out the intake and down the front of the engine. So I pulled the drain plug. It was about 35f in the garage so the leakdown will wait for a warmer day. It is now 20f, so the wait continues.
Any thoughts on why the oil puked out the intake?

Much has been written here about wet sumping, and the (possible) need to drain the sump before starting after a long layup due to the oil flowing back past the oil pump gears and into the sump. When you crank it over with a full sump there is no place for the oil to go except through the crankcase breather (aided by engine vacuum) and into the intake.
