This beauty was based at Dunkeswell airfield last week for pleasure flights and we enjoyed many viewings and hearings as she flew along the coast love

The year before we were treated but she was based at Exeter Airport, we are lucky.

We missed the Spitfire; but the Aviator Cafe at Dunkeswell is a regular destination for us.
The cafe is great, the drive from home is lovely. (via Woodbury Common, Sidford and Gittisham Common).
Last time we were there; they were offering helicopter flights, as well as the regular sky-diving.

Pity you missed them so far, it looks like they are still flying out of there though as there are still available slots.

On the 21st and 22nd definitely.

I was in Lincoln last week and surprised to see the “Red Arrows” several times in formation over the city centre followed by what looked like a Wellington or Lancaster.

Talking to one of the locals, they are so used to seeing these aircraft because of the numerous RAF airfields in the area, they don’t even bother to look.up.

Duxford Flying Day last weekend had the Red Arrows at 16.30 Sunday - nine flying. A Eurofighter and Spitfire flew together over my garden earlier, I live a mile from Duxford. They were low.

Clipper ... wouldn't be a Wellington ... not a single flying example left anywhere of the about 11,000 made ... only 2 static display one's left I think ... criminal to have let such an innovative fighting workhorse just effectively vanish!

Red Bull had their DC6, Mitchell and Lightning over for the show.
It could also have been the Blenheim.

Whenever I visit Cain (who lives not far from Duxford) I spend more time watching the Spitfires overflying his garden than drinking his coffee.
