I know the car. It was purchased new by a friend and is a straight and honest car. He had health issues and passed away earlier this year. His widow is selling the car. Thanks, very reassuring (but sad).

It's only an estimate and it may go higher of course, also the reserve may be set above the estimate. The 16.2% commission will add considerably to the hammer price ! Presumably there was no interest when advertised by this Morgan dealer. Surely if they'd listed it at £40k rather than £60k it would be sold which makes the auction estimate look a bit peculiar. https://www.carandclassic.com/car/C1679018. Sad to see what's happening to the market for quality secondhand cars Gone are the days of no depreciation on a Morgan....

Thanks, very reassuring (but sad). It is sad as they bought this automatic one so she could drive him if needed, but she lost him a lot sooner than expected. It's a lovely, well specified car. I even considered buying it but decided to stick with my trad.

Dissapeared off the Auction listing !!, guess it sold pre auction and withdrawn !! even though the Auction ad said "No offers accepted prior to Sale". A lot of dissapointed punters out there .

The vendor will be on her knees offering up a quick one having sold in this stickiest of environments with 49 on the MMC books.I am pleased for her and trust someone was guiding her along the journey. I don't blame people hanging fire, a year ago I got keen on the idea of a Plus Four auto but reading the massive costs of some repairs for simple radiator replacements it's not an area I shall explore further. As a retiree it's not the initial cost it's the long term running costs and reliability that count and a Plus 8 is like a Grant Oil Boiler  but lots more fun  A Classic Plus 8 will never be an expensive beast to feed once you get used to 21 mpg when really enjoying it.

And of course you are by retaining your car and not replacing it, some might consider as being more ecologically friendly to the environment reducing your overall carbon foot print.
