No they are progressing in the diametrically opposite direction, there will be no going back now.

Right now, most manufacturers are building cars that few people want, with fancy touch screen tech that few know how to use.
The motor industry will be unrecognisable in ten years.

The motor industry will be unrecognisable in ten years. The younger demographic have been the strong voice of more screens the better, however, most OEMs have gone a bit overboard with putting EVERYTHING into a screen. Customer feedback is now starting to get a bit louder about how this has gone. Mark my word, you will soon see luxury and premium being applied to new cars that have something simple like HVAC controls with actual buttons!

Personally I would like to see the Plus Six replaced with an 'entry level' model, selling for less than the Plus Four. +1
2005 4/4 1800ccm Duratec and a lot of HONDA CX500.......

Quite a bit of gloom on this thread. For me this is the obvious move to introduce the new Aero EV-GT at the top of the range. Lower down the range a new entry level Morgan 4/4 with either the 156bhp 3 cylinder engine from the Mini Cooper or the 189bhp 4 cylinder engine from the Cooper S will eventually be introduced. These two engines now only come with the automatic gearboxes in the Minis so a manual in the Morgan would be logical to get rid of stock thus maintaining tradition. With a 3 cylinder selling for about £55k and the 4 cylinder at £60k these are going to be relatively affordable. As for the new look - I like it. Here's a 4/4 from 1936 with no separate indicators messing up the aesthetics. (Running lights I'll grant you but no indicators) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2024/10/19/Image-17-10-2024-at-16.35.md.jpeg)

If the MMC are going to phase out the Plus Six as now seems likely, I am pleased I have the MY of the years made and I will be keeping it.. Hopefully the spares supply will go under the new "Heritage" side of the business, a 5 to 6 year run of this model is not a huge base to maintain the needed spares specific to the Plus Six... I can not see us moving to a Plus Four as we found it too small in the interior and to be honest I do not like the recent design changes made to it. I do like Fox Terriers posting of the 1936 4/4, I would buy one if I could fit in it comfortably.

Would there be sufficient differentiation from the MS3 though? I would have thought it might be more cost-efficient for MMC to do a design tweak on the MS3 to include some weather gear?
