unfortunately I have a 2013 M3W 3000 miles with a completely blown engine. Just bought it a few months ago not knowing...Any updates on this thread about engines or parts? I need cylinders or oversized pistons, valves, guides, gasket kit, timing belt. etc. Would love to bolt on a new engine but suspect I'm on a serious parts search... Apparently S&S sold the x-wedge to some company in China and so S&S does not support anything for the engine. We can only hope that the China company will offer parts

We can only hope that the China company will offer parts Yes and I'm sure I read they have gone metric and all that implies for spares for the units from the States. I read this on a post from one of our respected M3W hands on members on here. It wasn't discussed whether the Chinese unit could be swapped in as a whole unit.

The early versions of the S&S engine was broadly based/a copy on the Harley V twin and at one point could be interchanged. Is that the case regarding M3W S&S engine?

The early versions of the S&S engine was broadly based/a copy on the Harley V twin and at one point could be interchanged. Is that the case regarding M3W S&S engine? I think many of the S&S engines can be used in HD's. However the x-wedge is different than those engines

Sold only on an exchange basis which helps keep the engine supply available for years to come.

I have heard that a twin cam 88 off a softail has a similar bolt patter. But HD has not made that engine since maybe 2006 or 7.
