The Memsahib, the hound and I will be spending a couple of days in Malvern on 4-5 November whilst my car has the suspension upgraded. We have booked a factory tour and dog sitting for the first day, but I wonder what else there is to see and do in Malvern. Anyone have any recommendations?

Nine miles of hills to walk is what we do. Two days allows an end to end ramble. grin2

Seeking out the larger springs is also fun, such as Holywell. At least get to British Camp!

Peppe's is a lovely Italian restaurant, the Anupam is a cracking' curry house and the Morgan pub serves a lovely pint of Wye Valley Butty Bach ale. Wetherspoons (the Foley Arms Hotel) has some Morgan automobilia on display too including a M3W pedal car. Other attractions will require transport. If you're staying at the Abbey ask for the MMC discount rate. Enjoy your stay.

Try The Nags Head for a wide range of beers and good pub food. A very popular pub, 10 mins walk from the town centre. Croome Court is a great NT property some 8 miles away - interesting house and lovely walks. Malvern has an excellent theatre/cinema complex right in the centre of town and adjacent to Priory Park (also worth a visit) - not sure what's on during your visit but their website will have details. Hope this helps, and enjoy your stay!

The Wyche Inn has some great Pub Food and near a starting point for Hill walks. Was there in September, they also have B&B. Hereford is a nice town to visit, A Cathedral and the Mappa Mundi!
Also nice is the Chase Inn in the Malvern Hills.
If you want top food (at a price) then I recommend Cottage in the Wood, but you have to make a reservation!

Have fun!

Speaking of National Trust; on our last trip to the UK we had great value from our membership of the Italian equivalent, FAI - Fondo per l'Ambiente Italiano (the National Trust for Italy).

If you are a National Trust member you have exchange rights to use your membership in Italy.

Which Malvern? There are loads of them I discovered when I stopped in nearby Hanley Swan( try the Swan Inn - lovely pub)

On my list to walk the Malvern Hills - probably do it in two days (circular walks staying in hotels on either side. This looked a nice hotel in the middle - just had a drink there.

The views and walks are great as previously said - the free walking app here was excellent [ https://www.visitthemalverns.org/things-to-do/walking/mobile-walking-app/].
We usually stay a few nights here -The Cottage in the Wood Hotel and Restaurant - the food is good, parking is good and safe - and you can walk directly onto the hills from a path beside the hotel.
