Of course we wish them well for the future and it is as well to remind ourselves that Lamborghini started of making tractors and still do.
I am happy referring to my Plus 8 as a tractor as that suits me perfectly for a myriad of reasons, but to survive MMC know as do we that the tractor based customer horizon is vanishing rapidly.
Wheel out the EVA turn the page and head on to the future..whatever they produce will enhance the world in terms of it's appeal I'm sure for both drivers and ogglers.

Can you really blame Morgan for moving slightly upmarket? What about Jaguar willing to become some kind of Bentley, Porsche makes the 'attainable models' all EV, BMW said there wouldn't be a succesor for the Z4,...
Also: I think if MMC would produce the 'full quality' that Porsche offers: prices would at least double if not tripple

I think a Morgan for some people are an aspirational car, many waiting for their retirement package cash sum to indulge/treat themselves. The next budget may put paid to a lot of that come the end of October especially if capital gains is levied on absolutely everything at a much higher rate than now and cash free lump sums become a thing of the past
Then it may be a case of Morgan having to really go upmarket and chasing the well heeled with disposable income that can still afford such a car, The deep wool pile carpet in the runout P6 might be an indicator of things to come and the market segment they are aimed out.........certainly wont be the muddy boots brigade, they will also have a Range Rover to do that in

As the shag pile carpet in the Pinnacle Plus Six will not leave my mind, I thought ( in humour ) that some matching colour furry/fuzzie dice hanging from the rear view mirror would be a good period touch... I am off now....

When the last BMW Plus 8 was sold as an expensive special series, it was emotionally moving. An entire era of automotive culture and history was coming to an end. For me personally, these so-called “Pinnacle” models are somehow emotionally duller and staler. I actually thought the Plus Six was a super cool car from Morgan, very modern and in its genes the continuation of the fine British but still muscular car. Somehow the circumstances were unfortunate and some of the improvements to driveability were obviously comming too late. Perhaps the Plus Six would still exist if it had been allowed to be sold in the USA. To be honest, it's very sad what's happening, and I hope it only affects this model. In my view, it's not a Pinnacle but an interrupted end.
The Plus Six, a car to mourn? Not in my opinion, it had neither a fascinating V8, like the Plus 8, nor the good body design of the Trads or the Plus Four. The angular fenders lacked the usual Morgan elegance.
I too regret the stop of the PlusSix. The "Pinnacle" seems a nice PlusSix to me, except the furry carpets. How could they do that, the Pinnacle is also made for driving and these carpets are a silly thing. The steering wheel and the fuel cap are improvements and can be transferred to the PlusFour imo. But the story ends after these 30 cars for the PlusSix and that is sad. There is coming something completey different and upmarket, creating a gap between the original / traditional Morgan lovers and owners and new customers who are searching for a nice toy "upmarket". This is not what Peter Morgan has wanted. I do hope Morgan will survive, and I hope it will keep its unique identity!

Apologies if this has been covered, but watching the video it seems fairly evident the carpet flooring in the car is the standard box weave and the fun plush wool goes on top of that and is removable. Could be mistaken, but that’s what it looked like to me when John pulled it out (4:25 time stamp in the YouTube clip). Just seems like a fun little addition on a final swan song for a great car. Not sure it needs to symbolise the end of Morgan as we know it, but I am aware some of you have made your minds up on that front already and a little plush carpeting is just further proof the sky is falling.
For my part I think the Pinnacle looks like great value for a well specced and special plus six. I think they nailed the concept well. It certainly looks to me to be the best of the six and if it is indeed the last time the b58 or an engine of its ilk is in a traditional body Morgan than I suspect it will hold a special place for owners and in the brands history.
