Hello, I have a 2007 Roadster. The rear hoop that provides the top shock absorber mounting broke last week going over a speed hump.
I have repaired it but I notice that the Spax shock absorbers only have about 2" of vertical travel. This measurement was taken with the axle sitting on the chassis. So 2" upward does not seem much and it would appear that the SA's would be acting as bump stops.Have the wrong SA's been fitted in the past or is this normal. The rubber strip Morgan fitted to the hoop to act a an upper stop is 5" away from the rear axle so that does not do anything. Any information or suggestions would appreciated. I have no idea how to attach a photo to show the break because I cannot find a button to press.

If you’re interested I’ve recently upgraded to SSL multi link rear suspension on my Roadster ( a huge improvement!) and so have a spare mounting hoop, plus a pair of spax adjustables, which are ssl spec…they were fitted by the previous owner about 2000mls ago, so are in good nick.
They’re looking for a new home..
