Today I started to fit to my car the sound system I got from a breakers. I fitted a speaker to the passenger door. The card comes off relatively easily if you remove all the screws & plugs.
The wiring is all there for the speakers but also the wires for puddle lights. To fit them I would have to remove the plastic section of the door card & drill the wood where the blue tape is. I didn't test the wiring but I expect it would work.

Sorry for my bad English... but what is the puddle light?
Normally a small light in the lower edge of a car door which lights up the ground just outside the car. The idea is that it allows a passenger (or driver) to see if there is a puddle before they step out of the car.

Thanks for the photos John, I have not yet ventured behind the card, so any info is good info. I am presently in the process of replacing the Plus Six gear selector, so will hopefully post photos and its story by the end of the week.. Dave
