Today I started to fit to my car the sound system I got from a breakers.
I fitted a speaker to the passenger door.
The card comes off relatively easily if you remove all the screws & plugs.

The wiring is all there for the speakers but also the wires for puddle lights. To fit them I would have to remove the plastic section of the door card & drill the wood where the blue tape is. I didn't test the wiring but I expect it would work.

So they just have one wiring loom. Do you wish the puddle lights?

I find all the redundant cabling in a wiring loom tantamount to carrot I have to use it.

Normally a small light in the lower edge of a car door which lights up the ground just outside the car. The idea is that it allows a passenger (or driver) to see if there is a puddle before they step out of the car.

Thanks for the photos John, I have not yet ventured behind the card, so any info is good info. I am presently in the process of replacing the Plus Six gear selector, so will hopefully post photos and its story by the end of the week..

I have more photos courtesy of Gonze see below. I would be interested in how you remove the centre panel or are you just replacing the knob?
