Cleaned, fed and rainproofed the leather. I must say despite being a light colour (actually an advantage) it's wearing remarkably well for its six plus years and 32,000 miles.

Drove mine back from New Elms following a service and MoT. Thorough and excellent work from NE as always, and it was a nice sunny drive back. The car has been on the road for all its life, never been in storage, and has never failed an MoT or had even a single advisory in 22 years. I've never had that on a car before - my 2013 Audi passed its MoT this morning, but with 5 advisories.

Starting to clean my 4/4, hopefully to attend the next main Fossilmog function,
Next, I need to treat the leather with my favourite leather potion.
I also have a small repair to carry out on the driver’s door draught excluder.
Very satisfying.

Ongoing for the past two weeks full service including engine, diff & g/b oil changes. Proper clean of the spoked wheels and now on to fitting new rear brake shoes and slave cylinders which I fitted ten years ago but have rusted again, what a fiddly job that is!

One of the advantages of having a “poverty model*” 4/4 is that the draught excluder (at the bottom of the door) is leather-cloth, so far easier to repair.

* for those new to TM, the term poverty model, was once used by the then Chairman of the MSCC, to describe my 4/4.
doh

Anyway, leather now treated, draught excluder now repaired and cleaning continues.

Simon, whilst the back brakes are in bits put a tiny dob of Mintex Ceratec on all 'touch points' of the shoes to backplate, moving bits like handbrake lever and squeeze some under the rubber boots on the cylinders, it'll pay for itself 100x over

The 4/4 is all ready to hopefully go to the next Fossilmog meeting.
The only thing that could stop me using it, would be if they salt the roads.

Rain, I can deal with; cold, I can deal with, but salt is so destructive.

Not "to" exactly, but we got the framing for Little Red's winter home finished. I'll be installing doors and windows next week...
