not sure where to post this. forgive me.
im new, bought a 63 morgan plus 4 DHC, few weeks back. great deal. 20k came with its own enclosed trailor. frame off restoration. needs paint and top
drove to nj to see and buy. get it home and put 150 miles on it . now reads 23,000miles.
put it up on roller jacks, to sand, and ready it for plaint.
Im loving the new therpy.
im 77, suffer with PTSD. from being a 17 kid, .us marine in viet nam 66-67 as a 0351 anti-tank, 3.5" and LAW rocket assualtman.
I work ata nd in the tv new film industery. unable to work staff jobs for any link of time. I found a way to make it work for me, by freelancing, when some staff guy calls in sick, they could call me. Still I get bored and watch the movie "JAWS"... then i new, I wanted to make underwater films. Watergate was in full gear, My life is happening in washington DC.... the camera technoigy was fast changing from film to video and I could see fear in the eyes of all the older film cameraman... my GI eduction bill was coming down to use it or loss it . I signed up for a deepsea diving school in california and drove me and my van to long beach ca. got a place on the beach in long beach. 2 years later i was a hard hat diver. did a contract in Egypt for 7 months. then returned to DC. the film to video changed while i was gone, so I fell into my old free lance gig, doing soundwork for the networks and local news stations...2 years later I get bored and call dive connections and was told taking a underwater nondisrtive testing and Video inspection course and he would send me to Borneo for a year contract inspecting the saltans persnal oil wells...
sorry I get distracted... I wanted to give everyone some back ground on me... some yeah, Im preping my car, for painting. then deal with a top. I have the old top, needs some wood work and recovering... Im looking at getting the top and come accross 1400 for a good one and 1400 to install it. looking for help with putting the old back on the car to make sure it fits and all is there... anyone know of like a explosed view of the 63plus4 DHC top being installed or reparied???? hints, ideas?

I know that in the UK David Robberts is in the proces of restoring a DHC as a Plus8 DHC "Jane Morgan" recreation however without the autobox. Ik now he has a lot of knowledge about DHC's in general!
