When you think you have heard it all a train company comes up with a beauty ...
My wife was going by train from York to Glasgow on Sunday morning when the train was cancelled due to an infestation of flies.
You could not make this stuff up.

Many years ago I hired a car to join my brother and family on a holiday in The Lakes. All loaded up and including fishing rod and bait I set off. On arrival I unpacked to discover the bait i.e. maggots had upturned, the lid had come off and maggots were everywhere. I cleared up as best I could but during that week the odd fly buzzed around the car. I could only imagine what plague the next person to hire that car would suffer. Maybe a careless angler had boarded that train - good luck to them getting rid of that lot.
