I really miss a decent Espresso and a good cup of tea. Sadly caffeine is a migraine trigger for me. Decaf Espresso is tasteless and pointless. Decaf tea is not good.

I subsist on decaf coffee but still miss the good stuff.

Heather suffers in the same manner Paul but takes these as a nice alternative not from Asda as that's 25 miles distant.

A few different flavours appear in the cupboard by Nescafe so a bit of choice too.

Parents from Lancashire and Yorkshire . It was a friendly war of the roses but they both agreed that tea had to be so dark the spoon stood up in the cup. Strange family as my uncle lifted his trilby every time we passed a Tetley pub (not tea):The result of my upbringing, I don’t like tea apart from the only time I can really enjoy - with a weekend fry after a cold mornings walk it just hits the spot on these occasions .
I did flirt with lemon tea at 15 when I used to frequent a coffee shop hangout for the young mods , writing poetry…….god I was pretentious back in the day. It did have great returns though if you get my drift. MM
PS very strange thing I’ve just remembered ….I got a job offer after leaving Unl with J Lyon’s & Co, Tea Division ! Perhaps I would have had to drink tea as an assistant to a tea brand manager !
Anyone remember Lyon’s Corner Houses ?

Thank you Richard. We make do with Kenco Millicano or Nescafe Azera Decaff which sound similar but we will try the one you suggest - just in case.

I'm the other way round - I get Ocular Migraines, and caffeine can help alleviate the symptoms.

I'll drink any old coffee swill though, not fussed with spending a fortune on chocomochafrappolatte stuff. Don't drink milk and have between one and three spoonfuls of coffee depending on how strong I want it. At work we have one of those capsule things, but next to it is a kettle and a catering pack of Nescafe which suits me!

Don't drink much tea, and can't bear Earl Grey - like drinking perfume....

I enjoy Twinning's English breakfast and Extra strong Yorkshire tea. I do not drink instant coffee; it certainly does not replicate coffee. At home we use a Nespresso machine and pods for simplicity, and it gives a reasonable flat white (small). Would never buy a mug of coffee. When out we have flat white or lattes.

Yes, Yorkshire Tea was specifically developed (blended) for Yorkshire water. Apparently it is now Britain's best selling brand, having overtaken P.G.Tips, which is odd because most of the country doesn't have Yorkshire water! Here in Hampshire our water comes off the chalk downs and couldn't be more different. However, I'd take Yorkshire over P.G.Tips any day, which I can never get strong enough. Normally Mrs W and I are Tetley Tea Folk.

That's very interesting, I also get Ocular Migraines. Not frequently, probably about once every couple of years. My optician told me that when it occurs I should try and figure out what has triggered it. Perhaps I should be aware of caffeine deficiency.

I didn't drink coffee at all until in my thirties when I discovered what I don't like is instant coffee and coffee with milk. I have one espresso a day mid-morning. I get the craving around 10:30am. I have a Lavazza "A Modo Mio" machine, very similar to Nespresso but it has its own capsules. At the time it was the only way to get Lavazza coffee from a home machine but since then they have started producing their own Nespresso compatible pods.
