Hi all Recently swapped from a Super 3 to a 2023 Plus 6, and I have a question about the standard wing mirrors...
They seem to magnify... so (for example) on the motorway, if I am in the middle lane, instead of seeing the whole of a vehicle that might be in either the inside lane or outside lane just behind me, I get a magnified image of just the nose/registration plate of that vehicle. As a result, you can't easily judge how far they are from you.
Do the after market replacement mirrors from (for example) Librands use conventional mirrors which don't magnify and therefore give me a wider view of the road behind?
Thanks in advance for any advice!

It is a regulation rule . On left hand drive cars the left mirror magnify more than the right mirror. I suppose it is vice versa on right hand drive cars.

When I bought my PlusFour, MY late 2022, new in March 2023 I had Librands outside and inside mirrors installed by delivery, which give an excellent hindsight! I knew these problems, I have the original mirror somewhere in a tray in my garage!

We had the Librands external mirrors fitted by the dealer, much better than the factory fitting.

I think the Librands & John Taylor mirror heads are minutely convex which will give you a wider field of view (helpful with the cr4p positioning on a Mog) but can make the image look further away than it actually is

Not only do the Librands mirrors actually work, they are much better made and solid than the originals. Well worth it.
