Ignoring the steampunk look (which I'm not a great fan of) I must say that the opening bonnet is genius. There's such a lot of useful space in there which is usually a bit of a pain to access.

Seeing that very photo several years ago inspired me to follow suit. Easy enough to do, just a skill saw and a steady hand....The tough part was separating the forward bonnet bulkhead panel from the curved bonnet top as Morgan used so many spot and edge welds which I ground down with a 1/2" belt sander just so over a very long afternoon. In the end I managed to achieve a good result without damaging the top side factory paint (lots of blue painters tape used as protection). Just a respray of the inner bonnet surfaces was all that was required. At the time I also took the opportunity to repaint the nose from painted silver to body color, and moved the Morgan emblem down 2" or so, where it belongs, IMHO.

There are photos elsewhere on this site about my conversion, but hard to find as I was not the original poster, just replying to someone else's.

But here's one:

Very nice. Do you have a photo with the bonnet closed?
