From memory the going rate for a reasonably well specified Plus 4 in 2016 with necessary options was circa £44k. More extras makes the car sell easier but not above the average. So 50% depreciation in 8/9 years selling to a dealer in a market awash with Morgans. There are still not many cars with that return in my opinion.
It's hard but the glory days of Morgan residuals have gone - at least for a while.

Steve, 1560 is spot on!
Wait until just before easter bank holiday, check the dealer prices and drop by about 10% (list in time for holidays) and list it in the classifieds, you only need one that sells/advertises Morgan well.
make sure you have excellent pictures, especially the main one and tell your story....it will sell. you'd be bananas to take less than 34K in my opinion! bet you don't see a dealer selling for that either!!! People might consider your milage high for a Morgan but believe me I had to rebuild my wonderful 7000 mile option as it suffered all the lack of use issues you could possibly get.... and then some, Oh, forgot to say, bought from a so called Morgan expert garage too! Your answer to that little cracker of a statement is ' would you find that a high milage in your daily drive'. THEY NEED DRIVING! Best of luck and don't panic!

I said on a thread not so long ago that I was offered £43k for my full spec with hard top for my plus 6 on a 19 plate, but only if I was looking at changing to a 23 plate plus 6. So £47k to change! I told the dealer, tongue in cheek, that he was on drugs. He said he wishes he was. The dealer in question said he wouldn’t buy it outright, only deal was on a nearly new car. Needless to say, it’s now my daily, sat outside, hard top on, covered in road grime. My set of Yokahoma winter tyres going on next week. It’s a love hate relationship at the moment, which I takeout on the car depending on my mood. I’m in the “Let’s batter it this winter” mood, salt and all! Seeing as it’s now only worth the price of a transit van.
Interestingly, I nipped to factory for a coffee last Saturday, the place was packed, they were getting ready for an international dealer meeting on the Monday morning. Two new cars were also being collected and a chap had just come back from a test drive in a yellow plus 4. So some one still buying at top dollar.

I dont know the situation in uk but here in Belgium the price should be around 60000 euros. This is half the price of a new plus four for a very good trad.

I fiollow the market and expect there are quite a few buyers lying in wait for a well priced car. When one comes up ‘cheap’ it goes in a day.. my Dad bought a similar car 2017 GDI with very similar spec for £29k 2 months ago, the chap had it advertised for £35k with no interest. So expect it you put it up for £30k it would go pretty iquicky or keep it to the Spring…

By Easter next year the market will probably be worse..........!😆 PLUS, more elderly potential buyers might not have survived the winter.........🤷🏻♂️

I suspect that demographics of the baby boomer generation determined that the situation relative to classics would happen under any government...?
