The life expectancy in Blackpool is made worse as it one of the UK most deprived locations. Just a few miles south in affluent LSA and 3 of my neighbors have achieved over 100, 2 are in their late 90's. It's believed the convalescing sea air of the Fylde Coast adds on average an extra 10 years to your life. A neighbour former manager of the RR plating works was given six months to live due to chest problems back in 1963 if he didn't move from Derby, he moved immediately to LSA and only passed in 2004. One of my Grandfathers business partners moved up here for a few years to recover/convalesce from a serious chest problem in the 70's, hence why we got to know the area so well. Great sea air, can you imagine what the average age in Blackpool would be without the sea air to extend it.

It must be the effluent in the sea that makes that makes Royal LSA so affluent !! You’re talking to the converted here but……….

Nah, they sorted the effluent out decades ago with a massive new pipeline right the way down the coast into Preston. at the same time fixing the Preston localised flooding.

I think you can't go too wrong living by the coast just check the Government site for rising sea levels predictions in what ever area you pick, the Fylde is predicted to be under water by 2050 in low lying parts. They stopped all house building in Fleetwood over 20 odd years ago in spite of the massive sea wall running all that section of the coast.

There are only 4 Morgans around here I'm aware of including ,mine, it seems more upmarket brands like Porsche, Ferrari, Aston Martin etc seem to be hot favourites along with the occasional geriatric Morris Minor driver creeping along the prom.

Back in the late 70's, early 80's we did two weeks in Torquay every August. Every year we saw an old couple parked up on the sea front in the evening in a 1950's Rolls. It was two tone. Maybe pale blue over grey. They obviously had a good life and presumably lived in one of the nearby villas. They must have been at least in their seventies, but what a life! Seeing the 20th Century evolve and finishing off in a Rolls.........

When their kids were at the local Primary he fronted up as Santa in the cabrio Fezza and the kids were over the moon, he's a good guy and always smiling and we always wave.

In 2008, I paid £32500 privately for my Roadster, a fall of £7500 from the new cost of £40,000 in 2005, so 18.75% depreciation.

So when I bought my Plus 4 in 2016, for £48,000, I was well aware of the likely fall in value, but this was worth it to experience buying new.
18.75% of £48,000 is £9,000, so that's £39,000 at three years old. And that's fine.Now at eight years old, who knows, but if £30,000 is the level, so be it.
If it's less? It really doesn't matter.

I believe that my 2014 4/4 is peak trad. It has taken some sorting but I think I now have it how I want it. The itch of a 5 link rear end still raises its head from time to time, but all the time the Mulfab rear springs continue to work as well as they do - more than ably assisted by Roger's spring assisters, I think I will leave the rear end alone.

It goes very well and is (now) comfortable over long distances and it averages well in excess of 40mpg.

If you buy a car with your heart tbh the price of your enjoyment is not even worth considering

Pedal to the metal and we visit this place for a transient in time so enjoy it to the full.
