Thanks for that TBM, just repeated the process, seems i got a stage further as I entered my login details THEN Norton displayed telling me they had cut access to the site, tried again, this time Windows edge said displayed saying the site was unavailable.... I took a pic of my laptop screen on both occasions to then post the pics on the local TM Gallery, however it did not allow me to do so, perhaps as I had posted a couple of pics earlier and the software may be written to inhibit consecutive posts.... Whatever.. I`m out on this one..

Gen Digital Inc. (formerly Symantec Corporation and NortonLifeLock Inc.) is a multinational software company co-headquartered in Tempe, Arizona and Prague, Czech Republic. The company provides cybersecurity software and services. Gen is a Fortune 500 company and a member of the S&P 500 stock-market index. The company also has development centers in Pune, Chennai and Bangalore. Its portfolio includes Norton, Avast, LifeLock, Avira, AVG, ReputationDefender, and CCleaner. Perhaps the answer is that all the problems are with Gen Digital products. It should be noted that the decision was made to require a login to view or post images on the site. This was to make it so that the service did not attract unwanted users. It may be that the algorithm used by Gen Digital products is triggered (falsely) by this requirement. Interestingly Norton has also had a history of blocking legitimate sites. In any case there is little that anyone can do to resolve this issue. It seems that this multinational has acquired the major part of popular AV programs, including Avira which I use. So far Avira has not given me any problems but I am only using the free version, which is perhaps not set to monitor suspicious web sites.

It may be that the algorithm used by Gen Digital products is triggered (falsely) by this requirement. Ah, you may be on to something! An issue that I have long meant to raise but never got around to it, is how thumbnail and medium images are linked to the full size version. e.g. This is the BBCode TM-IMG generates for a medium linked image: [url=https://tm-img.com/image/ViT34][img]https://tm-img.com/images/2024/07/14/20240714_141838.md.jpg[/img][/url] This results in a medium size image embedded in the post which if you click on will take you the page for the full-size image on tm-img.com. The problem with this is that you need to login to view the image. I always get around this by substituting the URL for the full image in place of the page URL in the link. Perhaps the AV products have now decided that all links to a login page within an image are phishing attempts? I notice that the behaviour is different on other hosting sites. imgbb.com links in the same way but doesn't require a login to view the full image page.

To illustrate my point. Click on the first thumbnail and you will need to be logged into tm-img to see the full picture. The second image is hosted on imgbb and doesn't require you to have an account or login. ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2024/07/14/20240714_141838.th.jpg) [url=https://tm-img.com/image/ViT34][img]https://tm-img.com/images/2024/07/14/20240714_141838.th.jpg[/img][/url] ![[Linked Image]](https://i.ibb.co/MS62DXg/20240714-141838.jpg) [url=https://ibb.co/MS62DXg][img]https://i.ibb.co/MS62DXg/20240714-141838.jpg[/img][/url] And my normal workaround, the image is hosted on tm-img but linked directly to the full-sized version and therefore doesn't require a login. ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2024/07/14/20240714_141838.th.jpg) [url=https://tm-img.com/images/2024/07/14/20240714_141838.jpg][img]https://tm-img.com/images/2024/07/14/20240714_141838.th.jpg[/img][/url] I think the answer here is to remove the requirement for a login to view pictures on tm-img

That is indeed an anomoly, and I am sure unintended on the part of the devloper. The intent, with a private site, was always that anyone with a link to the image could view the image, Despite a huge number of sites out there running Chevereto I suspect very few of them are "private" and even fewer using linked images that are intended to be viewed by non members. Personally I don't think I have ever posted linked images but it is certainly a good practice to use linked medium or thumbnail images to speed up loading and save page "real estate". It seems that it is the image "short code" that is giving the problem. https://tm-img.com/image/ViT34 I am not entirely sure that this is the thing that is triggering the algorithm but in any case it needs to be fixed. I will report it as a bug to the developer when I get a bit of quiet time tomorrow. Thanks for mentioning it and giving examples.

The erroneous phishing block prevents anyone with Norton-derived AV software from logging on to TM-IMG, as George has demonstrated in his gallery post. This means users with one of those AV systems cannot post pictures. The linking problem prevents pictures from even being displayed. If that can be fixed, then at least those same users would see the images in existing posts. Out of interest, can somebody who gets the error kindly report which, if any, of the three images I posted they can see and which they can click on? Here they are again: 1: 2: 3: ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2024/07/14/20240714_141838.th.jpg)

Ian, many thanks for all your efforts.
When clicked on image 1 causes the Norton warning to appear on screen and the image does not display, whereas 2&3 can be viewed without issue. Thanks.
