This was sent out recently by Darren from Berrybrook:
“It’s been busy, busy down here at Berrybrook. As previously mentioned, we’re gearing up for our open day next week. Sean and I have been up to the factory, more of that in a minute. Cars are coming and going, my colleagues at Milbury Model Company have had their busiest day since opening, phew!! Back to the visits! We were, in fact there twice in a couple of days, once to discuss our ongoing main dealer status with the new CEO Matt Hole. All very positive. The second day was the annual debrief of 2024 and again, very positive. We talked was the ongoing commitment of quality control on cars, they really have improved and the hoops suppliers have to jump through. There was a brief talk about the Midsummer, launched and sold out before we got the chance to even show it to any potential customer, Matt apologised, although it’s worked out every well for them. There was then a presentation on future projects and the end of Plus Six. We were treated to a preview of the next flagship model. After we had our phones taped up to stop any images leaking before the public launch, we got our hands on bodywork and bums on seats. I will say, although I can’t say much, it is stunning and a breath taker. A real move forward with design but lots of nods to the tradition of coach building, it even has a boot!!! For those interested in the next big thing, please give me a ring, we can talk about it.”

I trust Jon Wells and his team to come up with a stunning looking new model
I just laugh at these ‘would be’ car designers posting their AI ideas of what the car should look like on Facebook and YouTube They are all absolutely hideous and they post them thinking they are good, for heavens sake!! I’m pleased you still have to have talent and a automotive design degree to design a real car

I've ordered one, sight unseen, because I missed out on a Midsummer... Oops sorry, thought it was 1.4.26

For what it's worth and for my money I should like to see a retro offering that re-kindles the fun of a simple, affordable sports car that is just that. To appeal to the younger driver like the classic car that we are used to. At present MCC seem to be aiming for the deeper pocket of the older age groups who don't mind paying a dealership a thousand pounds a year for upkeep.
(Unlike my other car that drives more like a boat with stabilizers, has a handbook over 450 pages long and an infomatics dash that messages me every mile or so.)

Nice thought, but I wouldn't count on it, I think it was in Morgan's accounts they identify the direction of the company is further upmarket.

No real surprise.
A new Aero, even if they don't call it that. There has been a lot of discussion here and elswhere on the possibillity of a "Grand Tourer" to be added to the range after the last of the Aero V8s were sold.
Whatever it is it will be lovely but more powerful than I would want and undoubtedly more expensive than I can afford.
What it will not be is a nice, relatively inexpensive, small sports car that is intended to pull dreamers away from an MX5.
