What do you give to someone who has everything?

I'm asking for World Peace again this year, as it worked so well last year! xmaswow

We don't celebrate Christmas are we are part Atheist Jew, part Jehovah's Witness, and part 'bah humbug' party

So it's a very nice welcome Winter holiday where I can get togther with friends and family and I can fully rest knowing the office is closed for two weeks without any potential work related problems to sort. I love it! wine

The one other family member who does absolutely love Christmas is my youngest son Ralph who has Angelman Syndrome, craves visual stimulation and loves looking at all the festive flashing lights our lovely neighbour’s opposite our house have adorned their gardens and houses with. It keeps him engaged all evening! xmastree

It's not the gearing it's the shape. About as slippery as a house brick.

A trad Morgan is considerably less slippery than a house brick, the CdA with the top down is horrific. Adding another gear is unlikely to help as the existing 5th gear is almost certainly an overdrive ratio anyway.

I'm finding it difficult to imagine that a 2.0l Duratec is genuinely struggling at just 80mph, I suspect you are simply not giving it enough throttle, the Durance is a great engine and will easily rev to 6k rpm. Try using 4th gear and 5k rpm.

There are good reasons behind the racers going down the Brooklands screen or hard top route.

I very rarely used 5th on my 4/4 Sport it was far too tall for the Sigma / aerodynamics of the car.

My Plus 8 could easily pull at least another gear so a six would do but I don’t find it necessary the torque is incredible unlike the revvy engines.
The 23 on a good day to the gallon is a small price to pay for the sheer enjoyment of the soundtrack and smell of hot metal and warm leather let alone the countryside.

I think the last thing you need is an extra gear - maybe an Audi 😂

The cabin of a Morgan is not the quietest of places especially at higher speeds , it very noisy from the wind, exhaust, engine etc, I have a 2litre Duratec and find it can be tiring at higher speeds especially with the hood up over long distances, I doubt the addition of a 6th gear would make it a much calmer or quieter or more comfortable or more economical place to be at speed.

Whilst the Morgan is capable of much higher speeds I doubt I would want to explore it too often.
